The Black Hole War: My Battle with Stephen Hawking to Make the World Safe for Quantum Mechanics
So far–about 100 pages in–it’s a standard explanation of relativity and quantum mechanics, including the difficulties in reconciling the two theories. There are hints that the best is yet to come, with references to future chapters that deal with entropy, information theory, and what black holes have to do with it all. It’s readable and accessible to laymen like me.
